Forge World Alium is a world of rust and radiation. Once the most industrious planet on the sector, it has since been all but abandoned by the Adeptus Mechanicus due to a corrosive ferroplague introduced by agents of the archenemy. Interest in Alium is suddenly rekindled when an extremely potent and brief burst of binharic cant is broadcast from the world on every frequency and wavelength. The message originates from a giant servitor colony that lies forgotten and abandoned inside one of Alium’s vast dome-like Manufactoria.

With considerable effort the Mechanicus deduces that the forgotten colony must have been set to process calculations towards some profound goal millenia ago.

Though records pertaining to the original purpose of the computation have been lost to time, it is clear to the Tech-Priests that the colony’s continued function is a miracle of the Omnissiah. The broadcast must mean that whatever arcane function is taking place on the forgotten forge world is at long last nearing completion.

Securing the forgotten site becomes a matter of utmost priority to the Mechanicus, for they are certain that any other factions within the sector must have heard the call as loud and clear as they have.

The race to Alium begins, as different actors scramble to claim the mysteries of the Machine God for themselves. Soon the last binharic canticle of Alium will be sounded.

It is up to the players’ actions on the battlefield whether whatever comes out of the Servitor Colony will echo out for the good of Mankind or in collusion with the machinations of the Archenemy.
